Stockton police search for missing 1-year-old twins; parents in custody

STOCKTON, California - Stockton police are searching for twin toddlers after arresting their parents.

On January 4th a family of seven was reported missing. Five days later police found the couple and three of their five children living in their car in the area of Trinity Parkway in north Stockton, but the twin babies were nowhere to be found.

41-year-old Aaron Ivan Weddles and 32-year-old Princess Dara Canez Walker were arrested for felony child endangerment and child neglect. Police say the parents are no cooperating with police.

"And we don't know where these two are. And also, what's concerning is both parents have been uncooperative and are giving conflicting statements," said Stockton Police Chief Eric Jones

Police say the other three children are now with child protective services.

Police have conducted searches for the young twins but have no promising leads. Officers say the twins are of  mixed ethnicity black and Cambodian. The girl's name is Setina and the boy's name is Ren. Police have no photos of the twins.

"We believe or we hope that these children are out in someone's home, possibly with family or friends having no idea that we're looking for these children, but we're also looking into the possibility of foul play, we just don't know and that's what's so concerning about this," said  Jones.

Police say the car they found the family in is a white 2002 Suzuki XL7.
