Road closures in effect in Yosemite ahead of weekend winter storm

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK - Yosemite National Park has decided to close Glacier Point Road and Tioga Road to all vehicular traffic due to an expected heavy winter storm..

The closure will start Thursday November 2 at 5pm and remain in effect through the weekend.
Road conditions will be assessed on Monday November 6th.

No overnight parking will be allowed on either roadways.

Park officials say Tioga Road typically closes each fall and remains closed throughout most winter months. They recommend all motorists are required to carry tire chains during the winter months.
