Porterville Police recover over 11 ounces of methamphetamine, 7 pounds of marijuana from business

PORTERVILLE, California - An ongoing investigation regarding the sale of methamphetamine from a Porterville business has resulted in two arrests, the seizure of seven pounds of marijuana and over 11 ounces of meth. 

Porterville Police Department have been investigating a business in the 400 block of East Date Avenue, on November 21st they conducted two traffic stops of two separate vehicles leaving the business. 

During their first traffic stop they arrested 27-year-old Edwin Carrillo of Porterville for being under the influence of a controlled substance. During the search of his car detectives found five ounces of methamphetamine packaged for sale.

During another traffic stop police arrested 61-year-old Richard Figueroa, during the search police located approximately six ounces of methamphetamine packaged for sale and seven pounds of processed marijuana.

During a search of the business detective's located additional methamphetamine, evidence of methamphetamine sales, and a stolen 2009 Kawasaki Ninja.

Both have been booked into the Tulare County Sheriff's Office Porterville Sub-Station.
