FRESNO, Calif. -- Parents of Central Unified School District are in disbelief after the board voted 4-3 to terminate the Superintendent's contract.'
“We are without a superintendent right now for no reason for no explanation. No reason was given," said Wendy Yribareen, parent.
After the Central Unified School Board members voted to terminate Mark Sutton's contract that was effective until June.
“A lot of variables go into decision making," said Cesar Granda, School Board President.
The board did not back down and did not give any answers why the decision was made.
“Again those things are closed session discussion that I can’t discuss," said Granda.
This coming after public comment, students showing up with signs and parents creating a change.org petition with hundreds of signatures in support of keeping Sutton.

Even a trustee, Terry Cox speaking out in support of Cox.
"He has built up so much morale with our staff and students love him," said Cox.
Parents said they are not going down without a fight.
"This is far from over," said Wendy.
Sutton was terminated as Selma's Superintendent in 2015.
The Board President says Sutton will be paid through June. The school board will meet next week to determine who will be taking over his duties.
