One victim in deadly mobile home fire identified as Selma Unified employee

Cal Fire Crews responded to the fire around 3:30 a.m., three people died

SELMA, California - Selma Unified School District confirmed the identity of one of the victims in a deadly mobile home fire Thursday morning.

The district said one of the victims is Cortney Ramirez, who was a bus driver and driver trainer with the district.

Cal Fire crews responded to the area of Nebraska and Fowler around 3:30 a.m. after reports of a mobile home park fire. A juvenile escaped the fire by jumping out the window. While it was unknown how many people were inside at first, a Cal Fire battalion chief confirmed there were three fatalities.
