Officials identify man found in Fresno canal

FRESNO, California - A man found dead in a canal in Fresno has been identified. The Coroner's Office has identified him as 32-year-old Arlidone Vixathep of Fresno.

Police say they found the body around 11a.m Tuesday near Marks and  Nielsen.

They say workers at a nearby business noticed a foul smell for the past week or so. That's when workers went to find the source of that smell and found the body.

Investigators are now looking into how the person ended up in the canal.
