ViISALIA, California - Police officers are searching for two suspect involved in a fatal hit and run.
The accident occurred just before 10pm Wednesday night on Highway 198 near Mooney blvd.
Officers say a BMW was driving westbound on highway 198 at high speeds when it collided with a black Nissan.
Both cars overturned and the BMW caught fire. The Nissan ended up on the right shoulder and the BMW went up the embarkment.
The driver in the Nissan died on the scene. Officers identified her as a 29-year-old woman from Hanford.
The two people in the BMW fled the scene. Officers are now searching for them. They believe both suspects sustained injuries from the collision. The area was closed for approximately two hours.
