Fresno Police Investigate Homicide

Victim found shot in area of Fourth & Belmont

FRESNO -
    Fresno police are investigating a homicide. 
    The victim was shot at Fourth and Belmont.  Fourth is currently closed from Grant to Belmont.
    Fresno police say around 3 this morning shot spotter heard shots fired in the area of Belmont and Fourth.
    When officers arrived they found a shooting victim on Fourth. The victim was transported to the hospital with gun shot wounds.
    Police say the victim ended up passing away at the hospital. 
    Police say they are still looking for the shooter or shooters involved. At this tkme they have minimal information when it comes to a suspect. 
 
    Sgt. John Viveros, Fresno Police Department says, " We are in The process of going through our cameras on Major intersections and again we are going to be canvassing the area for additional witness." 
 
    Police at this time are not releasing details about the victim in this case. They say that information will be provided at a later time.
    Fourth is closed and will be for several house. 
    Police are asking anyone with information to come forward or call Crimestoppers at 498-STOP.
