FRESNO, Calif. - A man has been rushed to the hospital after Fresno police say he was shot inside a parked car.
The shooting happened Sunday afternoon near Shields and Fruit.
Shotspotter alerted police to two rounds fired in the area.
Someone else also called police to let them know there was a person who had been shot.
Police arrived and found a 23-year-old victim who was shot in the torso.
He was taken to the hospital where he is now being treated.
Police said the victim and his brother were in a yellow Mustang when the victim was shot.
"The gunman walked around the corner from Vagedes, around the corner of the building and fired two rounds," said Fresno Police Lieutenant David Ramsey. "The suspect then fled southbound Vagedes to an awaiting vehicle, a pick-up truck, and left southbound Vagedes as well."
Police searched the area for witnesses and surveillance cameras.
