FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno police are investigating after reports of a shooting near a southwest Fresno market.
It happened Sunday evening near Thorne and Whitesbridge according to Fresno police.
Officials said witnesses told them a vehicle drove by and a passenger inside was shooting at a person. Police found no injured person on scene, only a trail of blood.
Eventually, they learned a 22-year-old Hispanic man had been shot and had taken himself to the hospital.
The clerk of the store said the victim was shot in the leg.
"We're currently conducting a shooting investigation into that incident. It may be gang related based upon the information we have," said Fresno Police Lieutenant Steve Card.
