Madera's 4th homicide this year happens on Christmas Day

MADERA, Calif. - A Madera man was found dead Christmas morning. Madera Police said it all started at 4:30 Christmas morning when shots were fired.

"Our officers responded to the 1000 block of Clinton St. Upon arrival they located a male who was deceased who had suffered from gunshot wounds," said Madera Police Sergeant Alicia Keiser,

Keiser said it is too early to know if the shooting is gang related and it appears to be an isolated incident.

Neighbors near-by tell Your Central Valley the home where the victim was shot is known for having people coming and going most hours of the day.

Family and friends surrounded the property all morning in shock knowing a family member is gone.

"I'm numb. I haven't processed. This is my family. This is all we've got -- now we're missing one," said the Victim's Relative Michelle Baskerville.

This is Madera's second homicide within the past two weeks and forth this year.
