Waiting game continues for Measure G

Thousands of ballots still need to be counted with the 'Yes' side leading by only 262 votes.
Thousands of votes still to be counted and the Measure G election is still too close to call.

As of noon the day after the election, only 262 votes separate the two sides.

The 'Yes' side has 50.26% and the 'No' side has 49.74% with over 51,000 votes counted.

Right now, the vote by mail ballots are being processed and then will be taken to the downtown elections office to be counted.

The elections office won't confirm how many ballots need to be counted, but CBS47 observed at least 5,000 loaded into bins to be taken downtown.

The Fresno County Clerk's Office says the numbers will be updated Friday afternoon but some believe they will come out sooner.
