Rallies are taking place in cities around California as lawmakers in Washington hammer out the details of an immigration bill.
In Fresno, protesters marched from Representative Jim Costa's office in downtown Fresno to Senator Diane Feinstein's office a few blocks away.
They say they want the broken immigration system fixed this year and they want a solution that will raise the quality of jobs for all workers, keep families together and create a pathway to citizenship.
Several members from local activist groups joined in the march, including Faith in Action, Immigrant Youth Action Coalition and United Farmworkers.
Local community leaders will be meeting with Senator Feinstein's staff to drive home the point of how important this is to the community and families.
Other marches are also taking place around the state including: Sacramento, Bakersfield, Los Angeles and San Jose.
