Teen drowns at Avacado Lake

Two cousins were pulled from the water Sunday afternoon but one could not be revived.
Family is grieving the loss of an 18-year-old man who drowned in Avocado Lake.

It happened around 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, northeast of Sanger.

Two tees were retrieving a raft that had floated away from the shore when both got into trouble and went under.

Both were pulled out of the lake by witnesses and one survived but the second died at the hospital.

Fresno County sheriff's deputies say the teens were cousins.

The boy who died was under water for about 10 minutes.
