Extreme measures for the extreme heat this weekend.
Storyland and Playland at Roeding Park will be closed because temperatures are forecast to be well above one hundred degrees.
They say the seats could be too hot and the rides too uncomfortable for children and their parents.
General Manager, Lynda Restovich said, "We're interested in not only protecting our guests to make sure that the children are safe on the rides, but also our staff, because we're not geared up just yet for temperatures that extreme."
Storyland and Playland will be open Friday for fieldtrips that are already scheduled, but will be closed Saturday and Sunday.
