Gang violence left one man dead and another wounded in the Merced County town of Planada.
The Merced County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help to solve a murder.
Deputies were called to a home on Stanford Avenue near Santa Fe and Plainsburg Road in Planada around 10:00 p.m. Monday night.

Merced County Sheriff Mark Pazin says the murder is another senseless act of gang violence. "You pause to reflect about the functional idiots we have around here that believe a color is worth dying for," said Sheriff Pazin.
This is 12th homicide of the year in Merced County.
