A new study shows there is less summer ozone pollution than there used to be because our cars are running cleaner.
A new study shows there's less summer ozone pollution than there used to be and it's because our cars are running cleaner.

Pollution levels have dropped despite there being many more cars on California's roads.

Although pollutant levels have dropped, it still reaches unhealthy levels.

"All the investment that's been done is paying off and we are seeing improvements in air quality. Having said that we understand that we still have a long way to go," says Jaime Holt from the Valley Air District.

As ozone pollution decreases, the mountains are visible from Fresno more often on summer days.
