More than a dozen admitted gang members and several guns are off the streets following a gang operation in Fresno.
One of the suspects is 23-year-old Calvin Reese, gang member on felony probation. Reese was arrested for having a gun, which is a violation of his probation.
28-year-old Peter Vang was also arrested in the gang sweep. He had a shotgun and two handguns on him. This is his third arrest in just three months.
Lt. Burke Farrah with the Fresno Police Department said, "We devoted one entire team to doing nothing but checking on Asian Gang members. Other teams focused on people that were wanted for firearms violations and people that were active in African-American gang. Recently, we've seen an increase in African-American gang shootings.
U.S. Marshals and the FBI worked with state and local agencies on the gang operation.
