A woman in a stolen car led police on a high-speed chase that ended when she lost control and crashed at Highway 41 & Central Avenue.
The pursuit began at Holly and Grove in Southwest Fresno when undercover officers spotted a stolen car driven by a woman with a male passenger.
When they tried to pull the car over, the driver sped off.
The pursuit went southbound on Highway 41, but officers broke off the chase for public safety concerns when it reached speeds of 90-miles an hour.
The driver later crashed when she failed to make a turn.
Lt. Mike Doyle with the Fresno Police Department said, "The vehicle was unable to negotiate a right turn from Highway 41 on to Central Avenue and actually careened off the road and over the embankment and through the fence."
The driver was treated for minor injuries and was arrested. The passenger was also taken into custody. Officers say he is a gang member.
