Fresno home destroyed by overnight fire

The Red Cross is helping a family after their home was destroyed by a fire early Thursday morning in Fresno.

The fire broke out around 3:00 a.m. Thursday morning on Holland and Archie, near Cedar and Ashlan. 

The fire started between two homes and spread to the attics of both houses. One home was vacant.

The Fresno Fire Department had to call in extra crews.

No one was hurt but the fire department says it was a difficult fire.
