The Fresno Fire Department gave a special birthday surprise for a 14-year-old girl with muscular dystrophy.
Erika Wright was made a honorary firefighter and spent the day riding on fire trucks and enjoying a birthday party with family and friends.
Fresno Fire Battalion Chief Chuck Tobias said, "It's an honor for us to have her with us. She's an inspiration to us as firefighters and in reality, although many people, including her family, may look to us as heroes... they're our heroes."
Fresno fire fighters have partnered with the Muscular Dystrophy Association for years through the Fill the Boot program.
