The gates open Wednesday morning for this years Big Fresno Fair.
Crews are working through the night to set up the booths, displays and rides.
They're putting the finishing touches on everything at the fair grounds including the dinosaur exhibit, one of the new attractions at this years fair.
The Big Fresno Fair likes to add something new every year. And this year the 'something new' comes from our prehistoric past.
This is the first time this type of event has been done to this extent where we're actually comparing the prehistoric past to current day animals with peer-reviewed data," said Brad Tylman of Brad's Reptiles.
They've been at the fair for years with their lives lizards and snakes. But this year they share the exhibit with lessons about dinosaurs.
While the critters get settled, the cooks are getting ready to feed the crowds.
"We do all our own chopping so we're chopping our own cucumber, tomatoes, onions and jalapenos," said Erica Quintero with Pepe's Marisco.
At Pepe's Mariscos they're doing prep work for the opening day lunch crowd.
"So first thing in the morning when the gates open at eleven o'clock you can come over and order shrimp cocktail, fish taco, everything's ready to go," said Quintero.
The carnival games and rides will also be ready to go. The midway is lit up, the carousel polished, and the ferris wheel just waiting to take a spin.
The gates open at the Big Fresno Fair at eleven Wednesday morning. The fair runs through October 14th.
