Two people were killed in a violent head-on crash early Wednesday morning.
Both drivers died around 6:00 a.m. when a Jeep Cherokee swerved into the path of a Dodge pickup on Willow Avenue, just south of Friant Road.
There were no skid marks at the scene, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Sgt. Larry Gale with the CHP said, "This is a 55 mile an hour road and we're not seeing any evidence of any braking, so that makes for a very significant collision."
No names have been released and the CHP says it's too soon to tell if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash.
