Catholic Charities Gives Food

There was a huge food distribution today in downtown Fresno
There was a huge food distribution today in downtown Fresno. Folks started lining up around six this morning to get food from Catholic Charities. They were giving away more than 3-thousand pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables to those in need. Some students from San Joaquin Memorial took time out from their summer vacation to help distribute the food.

"It feels really good to give back. It's a fun thing to do. I like coming out and helping and I really don't mind giving up the time I have since I have so much time to help somebody that needs it." organizers say.

many of those in need can't get out to buy fresh fruit, so a giveaway like this one really helps their clients with their monthly budget.
