Alert neighbors help put a suspected burglar behind bars. It happened Thursday afternoon near Behymer and Granville in Fresno.
"They wrote a letter and sent it to everyone throughout here and when I walked out of my garage I saw a guy with a satchel on his back I've never seen before in this neighborhood," said Frank Beck.
Weeks ago, neighbors had been warned to keep an eye out for anyone suspicious. When Frank walked out of his house he got an eyeful.
"Yeah I asked him to show me the items he said no and I said you can show me or the police either way and when I called 911 he took off."
The chase was on. The suspect was slippery, but Frank stuck like glue.. and never lagged far behind.
At one point frank decided he needed a little help and his neighbors were only too happy to oblige.
"I had five different cars going different directions and pointing to where he went and so they were staying on the street and I was going through the fences "
By that time the suspect had had enough and so had Frank.
"I don't know if he was as tired as I was but it was time to quit running."
The suspect, 25-year-old Dylan Aust, turned himself in to Fresno police officers.
