Bets for Pets Raises Money for Homeless Pets

A fundraiser was held Saturday night to raise money for homeless pets in Fresno
The annual "Bets for Pets" fundraiser was held at the Engelmann Cellars and featured live music and a silent auction.

All proceeds from the event go towards programs that combat homeless pet overpopulation here in the valley.

"Spaying and neutering it will gives us money and funds to do that for low cost individuals who may not be able to afford to get their animals fixed. And definitely, definitely to bring those rates down that will help and that is what we are going for," says Serena Reyna, SPCA.

Last year the event raised close to $10,000 organizers hope to raise that much again this year.
