Fresno Police have arrested an 18-year-old man, in connection to two robberies, one involving a teenage victim.
According to a statement by Fresno Police, Marco Rangel was booked into the Fresno County Jail for two counts of Robbery. According to police, detectives found evidence that linked Rangel to the violent robbery of a 16-year-old male on Mondau, and another robbery that happened on the same day.
According to Fresno Police, three adult male suspects were following a 16-year-old male, as he walked near Tollhouse Park on Millbrook and Ashlan, at around 3:00 P.M.
The suspects, according to police, approached the victim, assaulted him, and took his property. The victim was reportedly injured, and taken to the hospital for treatment.
On the same day, at approximately 9:00 P.M., two adult male suspects were following a male who was walking in the same neighborhood. The male, according to police, tried to flee, but was also assaulted by the suspects, who took his property, including a cell phone.
Rangel, according to police, was arrested, after police tracked the stolen cell phone to a property nearby.
Fresno Police are also looking for two additional unknown suspects, in connection to the robberies. Police describe the suspects as Hispanic males, approximately 18 years of age.
