High temperatures and extreme drought conditions have California firefighters battling the Junction Fire in Madera County. Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr., today secured a Fire Management Assistance Grant (FMAG) from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to enable the availability of vital firefighting cost reimbursement for those local, state and tribal agencies responding to the fire.
The Madera County Sheriff's Office is once again urging everyone who has yet to sign up for emergency alerts, anywhere in Madera County to sign up now.
