Keith Foster fires his attorney

Former Fresno Deputy Police Chief Keith Foster, who was recently convicted on two drug charges, has fired his attorney, according to court documents.

"Defendant Keith Foster respectfully requests leave from the Court to substitute Michael McKneely as his attorney in this matter and to relieve E. Marshall Hodgkins," the document shows.

The order acknowledging the change in attorneys was signed on June 1.

Hodgkins represented Foster during the trial, and Hodgkins' office confirmed Monday that he is no longer representing Foster.
