Granville Home of Hope raffles off new home and Lexus

FRESNO, Cailf. - You could win a brand new home and two-year on a 2018 Lexus. Saturday, Granville Homes unveiled it's 13th Annual Granville Home of Hope.

100 percent of the money raised goes to community-based organizations.

The new home in the newest gated community at Copper River Ranch, can be yours for only $100, if you buy one a ticket.

The best thing, all the money raised will go to nine non-profits helping people in our community.

"The folks who will eventually have the keys to this place will not just have a house, they will have a home," said Jim Patterson, 23rd Assembly District, (R).

Since 2006 Granville Homes has raffled off the chance to own a new home, raising more than $4.5 million.

"Of which, one hundred percent benefits nine local non-profits here in our community," said Veronique Parker with Granville Homes.

Non-profits like Hinds Hospice.

"The money that comes through the Home of Hope or the Granville Foundation really is what allows us to do outreach to the community," said Rob Walker, marketing communications coordinator for Hinds Hospice.

Two new non-profits are benefiting from this years fundraiser, Breaking the Chains - an organization helping those affected by human trafficking.

"Home of Hope is going to be a huge part of what we're able to do for victims in the future," said Deborah Rush with Breaking the Chains.

And Art of Life Cancer Foundation.

"When you purchase a ticket whether you win a brand new home or a new lease on a Lexus at the end of the day you have given hope to change lives right here in the Valley," said Jenelle Higton, executive director for Art of Life Cancer Foundation.

Fresno Lexus is raffling a two-year lease on a 2018 RX 350. When you buy two Home of Hope tickets, you get a chance to win the new ride.

Last year, all 5,000 tickets sold out before the grand prize drawing. This year Granville is hoping to top that by hopefully selling 6,000 tickets.

"Clovis Unified buy you tickets, Sanger Unified buy you tickets," said those selling tickets.

Many hopeful - for a chance to own the more than 16-hundred square foot - three bedroom home.

"Hopefully winning this dream home," said Aaron Covarrubis, who bought a ticket.

Only 6,000 home tickets and 1,250 two-ticket Lexus bundles will be entered into the drawing.

The Lexus will be raffled off on Wednesday, April 25 and the home will be given away on Wednesday, May 2.

The home will be open for touring from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays and from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
