Gang members arrested after car stop and foot chase

VISALIA, Calif. - Visalia police said two gang members are in jail after a car stop and foot chase.

Police received a call of someone firing off a gun from their car near Caldwell and Oak View Avenues.

Officers stopped the car on West Kimball Avenue.

Javier Suarez, 26, tried to run, according to police. The driver, Henry Valenciana, 26, was taken into custody.

Officials said Suarez surrendered to a K-9 unit eventually.

Police say they also found a loaded, stolen shotgun in the same area where Suarez was found.

Both men are now facing several firearms charges and gang-related charges.
