FRESNO, Calif. - Three people are sought in connection to the Feb. 26 homicide of 20-year-old Amber Baker, and now that includes one of the suspect's mothers, the Fresno Police Department said Monday.
Amy Marie Garza, 42, is believed to be hiding her son Gabriel Garza, 18 -- who is wanted in Baker's shooting death.
Police have conducted several searches for Gabriel with no success.
Amy is currently wanted for questioning in regards to aiding and abetting her son Gabriel to elude capture from law enforcement, police said.
The Police Department is asking for the public's health in locating Amy and Gabriel Garza.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts should call 911 or Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-7867 for a possible cash reward. Callers to Crime Stoppers can always remain anonymous.
Police are also still searching for Baker's boyfriend, Isaac Razo, 17, is also a suspect in her death. Police said Razo and Gabriel Garza were inside Baker's apartment when she was shot and killed.
Baker was six weeks pregnant, according to police. The shooting happened early in the morning at the Griffith Gardens apartment complex near Griffith and Blackstone avenues.
"I want these murderers found, I want them caught," said Katie Martin, Baker's sister.
Martin said her family wants justice. She said there hasn't been a day that has gone by where she's not sending new leads to detectives to help find the guys who she believes killed her sister.
"She was a beautiful young girl; she was a beautiful mommy; she was a beautiful sister; she was 20 years old, and she didn't deserve this," Martin said.
Baker was shot and killed in her sleep with her 4-month-old son was in the room.
Police said when they arrived, there were several people inside Baker's apartment, and all were questioned, but police said two are wanted in the homicide.
Martin said she believes Razo and Garza killed her sister.
"They viciously murdered my sister in her home -- in her bed -- in the middle of the night, and they haven't been caught," Martin said.
Martin said her sister and Razo were dating off and on for only a few months. Martin said Baker could have possibly been pregnant with his child.
"He knew my sister was pregnant, and he not only took her life, but he took a 6-week-old baby's life as well that could have possibly been his child. So in my opinion, he killed his own kid," Martin said.
Martin said her family misses Amber every day, and now she's just trying to keep Amber's memory alive for her now 5-month-old nephew.
"He'll never be able to grow up with having those mom experiences in his life. It's just very heartbreaking -- very sad," Martin said.
