Fresno Police needs help finding suspects, next of kin in January homicide

FRESNO, California - The Fresno Police Department is asking for the public's help in a January homicide case that remains unsolved.

On the morning of Jan. 18, officers responded to the Headliner Shopping Center located at 783 E. Barstow Ave. about an injured man.

When they arrived in the alley, they found a homeless man who had suffered significant trauma to his body.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim, known only as JD, was beloved by many in the neighborhood and known for keeping to himself and doing miscellaneous work for business owners in the area, the Fresno Police Department said.

The Police Department is looking for any information on the case -- as well as help locating JD's next of kin.
