Fresno Fire Crews Return Home After Battling Thomas fire

FRESNO - FRESNO, Calif. --  Some of the last Fresno Fire crews that were battling the Thomas Fire made their way back to Station 15 on Wednesday.

Crews had been there since December 4th.

Crews worked to protect homes and monitor lingering fire in Santa Paula, Ventura, Montecito and Ojai.

Crews said 26 Fresno firefighters were there at one time. They said that is roughly 10% of the department.

"Anytime you see a fire whether it's at home or out of county you think that could be my house so you feel a sense of urgency," said Rhett Pratt, Fresno Firefighter.

Three firefighters from Fresno are still battling the flames. There is still now word yet on when they will be able to return home.
