Fresno County Blossom Trail to open soon

FRESNO, California - It may be the first week of February, but there's already a glimpse of Spring around the Valley.

The Fresno County Blossom Trail is set to open mid-February. It's an early bloom season following a stretch of warm and record-breaking temperatures.

The Fresno County Office of Tourism estimates up to 30,000 people visit the trail each season from all around the world. The trail spans 65 miles of fruit and nut trees with nearly 100 stops!

"There's the cherry blossoms back in Washington D.C. and then there's ours, and we're the two largest in the United States for travelers," Fresno County Tourism Manager Kristi Johnson said.

Johnson says full bloom is expected in the next two weeks. The trail is typically open for three weeks. It is self-guided, click here for maps and more information.
