Exeter man arrested, accused of embezzling $1.1 million from employer

EXETER, California - Tulare County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man accused of embezzling at least $1.1 million over the last five years from his company. 

Deputies say Bruce Greer, 62, of Exeter was the General Manager of  E.M. Tharp, Inc./ Golden State Peterbilt.

Greer was arrested after an 8-month investigation.

Deputies were first made aware of Greer while investigating his son, Justin Greer, for cattle theft and embezzlement in June of 2017. Justin Greer was arrested on December 28, 2017 in Texas and is currently out on bond. 

In August of 2017 Detectives located evidence that Bruce Greer had been stealing money from his employer.

Charges were filed against Greer on April 30; he surrendered himself to authorities on May 3. He is currently being held on a $1.9 million bond.
