FRESNO, Calif. - More than 500 people celebrated an early Christmas at the Fresno Rescue Mission.
Organizers said Christmas on G Street caters to the homeless and underprivileged families.
The group barbecued hamburgers, passed out blankets, clothes and toiletries.
"When we've been so blessed, we need to return it to those who aren't as fortunate as us," said organizer, Amy Galyan.
"What's different about this group today, is that they sat down and shared meals that came and ate. They sat down and played games," said Deborah Torres with the Fresno Rescue Mission.
This is the second year the group has held Christmas on G Street. Organizers said much of the food and presents were donated.
