CBS47 Chief Meteorologist Marina Jurica recovers following deadly crash

A driver lost control of their vehicle getting onto Highway 168

FRESNO, California - CBS47 Chief Meteorologist Marina Jurica is recovering Tuesday after getting into a bad car accident overnight on Highway 168.

California Highway Patrol said the driver of a 1998 Acura was killed after a driver lost control of his car on the on-ramp.

He hit a the concrete center median on the highway and ended up blocking 2 lanes.

It caused a chain reaction with three other cars – including the one driven by Jurica.

She suffered minor injuries and was able to go home after the crash.

A second driver was not hurt.

The driver of the car that lost control was taken to Community Regional Medical Center. His condition is unknown.

CHP is investigating, but they said neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be a factor.
