OROSI, Calif. - A teenage boy was rushed to the hospital after being shot in Orosi, near Avenue 414 and Road 130.
Two neighbors called the Tulare County Sheriff's Office reporting they heard between 8 and 9 gunshots.
Deputies said the shooting victim was hit multiple times in the chest and leg. His condition is unclear.
Deputies don't have his age, but said he is a minor.
Sgt. Victor Bonilla said the boy was walking from a friend's home when he was shot.
"Once deputies got here, they found a juvenile struck by multiple rounds and they started giving him first aid until an ambulance arrived," said Sgt. Bonilla.
The victim was taken to Kaweah Delta in Visalia.
Deputies said it's very possible this shooting is gang related because they found items associated to gang attire at the scene.
Deputies said the shooter may have been in a red or orange Toyota Corolla.
