Authorities search for escaped inmate from Pleasant Valley State Prison

COALINGA, CALIFORNIA - Authorities are looking for a prisoner who walked away from the minimum-support facility at Pleasant Valley State Prison on Monday.

Brian Dill, 33, was reported missing during an institutional count at noon, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said.

Within minutes, agents from CDCR’s Office of Correctional Safety were dispatched to locate and apprehend Dill.

Dill is a white male, bald with green eyes. He is 5-foot-9 and weighs 180 pounds.

He was admitted to CDCR on June 29, 2012, from San Luis Obispo County to serve a two-year, eight-month sentence for vandalism, possession of a firearm by a felon or addict, DUI, possession of a controlled substance while armed and criminal threats.

Officials said anyone who sees Dill or has any knowledge of his whereabouts should immediately contact law enforcement or call 911.
