Arrest of Texas mother, daughter caught on camera sparks outrage

FORTH WORTH, TEXAS - The arrest of a mother and daughter in Texas is causing outrage after video of the incident spread on social media.

The video posted on Facebook shows Jacqueline Craig explain to the officer that a man had choked her 7-year-old son for littering and refusing to pick it up.

The officer said she should get her son "not to litter."

The Craigs became enraged and both the woman and her teenage daughter were eventually wrestled to the ground and arrested at gunpoint.

The officer is white and the family is black.

After the video was viewed more than 1 million times, Fort Worth police released a statement saying that their internal affairs was investigating the case.

In the meantime, the officer is on restricted duty. Both women were released from custody Thursday.
