24-year-old missing in Yosemite National Park

Park officials say, he was last seen around May 1st, near housekeeping camp

MARIPOSA COUNTY, Calif. - Park rangers have sent out a missing person alert for 24-year-old Alexander Joseph Sevier, a young man possibly taking day hikes out of Yosemite Valley. 

He was last seen in housekeeping camp on or around May 1st, according to park officials. 

They describe Sevier as 5'6", 128 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes and possibly wearing Aeropostale, Abercrombie or Hollister clothing. 

Rangers are asking anyone in Yosemite Valley May 1st through 5th, who may have information, to contact the Yosemite National Park Dispatch at (209)379.1992.
