FRESNO, California - The 17-year-old who was shot and killed Sunday night in southwest Fresno has been identified.
Adalberto Ocampo was shot in the area of California and Elm avenues.
Officers administered CPR and other first aid tactics before an ambulance arrived to take the victim to Community Regional Medical Center, but he died.
Ocampo was walking home when the shooting occurred, police said. He was a defenseless victim and not involved in any criminal activity at the time of the shooting.
The Fresno Police Department said Ocampo was a student at Cambridge High School and scheduled to graduate in the summer.
