Multiple sources have told CBS47's George Takata that Bulldogs' coach Raegan Pebley is not only a finalist at San Diego State, she reportedly was on the Aztecs' campus Saturday where she was offered the job.
The website WHoopDirt.com reported as early as Thursday that Pebley was "in the mix" at San Diego State, a job that came open about a month ago when Beth Burns retired.
Ironically, two months ago Fresno State beat San Diego State to win the Mountain West Tournament championship.
If Raegan Pebley does in fact leave the Bulldogs for the Aztecs, it will be her third job in as many seasons; she was at Utah State before coming to Fresno 13 months ago.
Under Pebley's leadership in 2012, the Bulldogs successfully defended their home court while putting together another winning season; it ended with a conference championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the sixth straight year.
