Hanford Man Accused of Killing His Wife

A Hanford man is under arrest after admitting to killing his wife and putting her body in a swimming pool
A Hanford man is under arrest today after admitting to killing his wife.

Hanford Police received a call from Todd Pate admitting to killing his wife and asking for officers to respond to his residence. 

Upon arrival officers found the victim Melanie Pate submerged in a backyard swimming pool with a laceration to the throat. She was pronounced dead on-scene. 

Todd Pate was booked into the Kings County Jail on charges of criminal homicide. 

Investigators are currently collecting evidence and interviewing neighbors.

So far no reports have indicated a history of domestic violence.
