A catamaran capsized during training on Thursday, killing an Americas Cup crew member.
Twelve people were pulled from the water but 36-year-old Andrew Simpson of England was trapped under the boat.
He was brought to shore but could not be revived.
Paul Cayard, CEO of Artemis Racing said, "Shocking experience to go through and we have a lot to deal with in the next few days in terms of assuring everybody's well-being."
Another sailor was injured in the accident.
It's still unclear what caused the boat to overturn.
